I did see a while back that Windows had an update for the Qualcomm Atheros chip, and I suspect after that updated it stopped working, but I have no way to tell.2. None of the above fixed anything but I did read that a lot of people had the same problem and that it happened after a Windows update, after they rolled back or formatted then it started working again. Tried running netcfg -d in command prompt a few times.Opened the laptop and checked the connections to the WiFi module (all looks fine on the module end, could not see on the motherboard though).Booted into Dell Diagnostics mode, even in there it says that the module is not installed for both WLAN and Bluetooth (first time I started thinking perhaps the module is busted).Updated BIOS from 1.0.2 to the 1.15 one.Look around in BIOS for any settings (nothing there).Uninstall and reinstall drivers, both from Alienware site and from Killer site.The things I have tried are the following: I tried updating the driver once I saw it as a hidden item and that did nothing. So when I am in Windows there is no option to toggle WiFi, the fn + F2 key which should enable and disable WiFi/Bluetooth now just puts the device in Aeroplane mode, device manager does not show the Killer WLAN/Bluetooth module, I did get it to show it when I said "show hidden items" in device manager but then when I tried getting info about the device it just said that it is not installed. So as the title states, my WiFi adapter went missing (in Windows) after a recent update, problem is that I run my 15 R3 with a cable 99% of the time, so not exactly sure when this happened, but I can say that about a month ago last I used the WiFi and it worked. We welcome everyone and value all of your opinions but attacking another member for their choice in brands will not be tolerated and will result in an immediate ban without warning.
